Farming & the Arts
This two-day workshop will focus on how the arts and artistic interpretation can be and is incorporated into the public programs and overall ethos of farm-based education programs.
Breakout sessions focusing on the creative arts on the farm will accompany facilitated discussions exploring the creative and imaginative approach to making meaning and cultivating knowledge that many farm-based education programs employ in their educational and service-oriented programming. Hawthorne Valley Farm is in celebrated Columbia County, NY under 30 miles from Great Barrington, Massachusetts and the Berkshire Mountains.
As always, FBEA workshops and farm tours are a fun, engaging, and productive way to visit other farm-based programs, network and speak with farm-based education professionals on a range of topics, and take the necessary time to rejuvenate your professional spirit.
